DESCRIPTION:
EPW - C.H. Meylan, Brassus, minute repeater, 50mm, heavy 18K gold original HC with monogram initials to front, monogram 1901 date to rear, Jurgensen-style lips, gold cuvette, white enamel DS dial, SW-SS, fully capped lever escapement with counterpoise, strike train jeweled to hammers, 27-35J, fausses-cĂ´tes pattern nickel damascene, s#5285 with matching serial number within case.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good repeat function and tone, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some mild haze to plate surfaces, some scattered micro-fine scratches; virtually flawless dial with only an infinitesimal pinpoint surface nick at top above the "60" minute numeral; excellent original plum colored hour and seconds-hand, minute hand is a mismatched blue replacement in fair condition with areas of finish loss, oxide, and some punch marks to its center hub; case shows very little wear, dent to left perimeter of front, prominent ding to right perimeter of front, excellent engraving detail, case front, rear and cuvette open somewhat short of 90 degrees (to approximately 80-85 degrees); tight bow, crown shows very little wear; good glass detail.
